Best Pizza in Hamilton – 12 Must Try Spots

Best Pizza in Hamilton

Pizza is the perfect comfort food - it’s easy to eat, hearty, oozing with gooey cheese, and often customizable with a bevy of tempting toppings.

Pizza means many things to different people, including thin-crust, New York-style; deep-dish Chicago pies; and chewy, traditional Neapolitan versions.

Any way you slice it, narrowing down a list of top pizzas is no easy task, especially considering our boom in high-quality restaurants.

That said, we’re up to the challenge.  Below is a list of the best pizza in Hamilton with all their information.

Best Pizza in Hamilton

Shorty's Pizza

Shorty's Pizza

Shorty's Pizza, located at 1099 Cannon St E, has amazing Pizza. I tried the Margherita pie and a slice of cheese pizza; both were fantastic. The Pizza is thin-crust, NY-style, and the crust is super crispy.

The quality and taste of the food were outstanding, with excellent pizza sauce, oil, and cheese. I highly recommend Shorty's Pizza if you're missing NY pizza or looking for a quick, tasty meal.

The dips were also some of the best I've had - we tried the garlic dip and the chili oil dip. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Pizza.

Buona Vita Pizza Inc.

Buona Vita Pizza Inc.

Buona Vita, located at 82 Queen St N, is a hidden Gem of a pizza place in Hamilton. I've been ordering from them for almost three years and have always been satisfied.

The pizza is always hot and the toppings are excellent - they load up the pizza. The bacon is a standout - with massive pieces, not the crumbled bits you get at other places.

And don't forget to try their onion rings - they're some of my best. If you haven't tried Buona Vita yet, I highly recommend that you do.

Dough Box Wood Fired Pizza and Pasta

Dough Box Wood Fired Pizza and Pasta

DoughBox, located at 1457 Maine St W, has a great concept - pizza made your way in a sub sandwich style.

You can choose from various toppings, sauces, cheeses, and crusts, and your pizza will be ready to eat within 15 minutes.

You can sit down and enjoy your pizza or take it to go. They also have beer, wine, and fountain drinks to wash it all down.

Overall, the pizza was great and I would definitely visit again to try something from their pasta menu.

Concession Pizza

Concession Pizza

I visited Concession Pizza with my husband after one of his colleagues recommended it to us.

We were blown away by the delicious pizza - the crust, cheese, and toppings were all top-notch. The crust was the perfect thickness, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

The classic pepperoni/mushroom/green pepper combination was our favorite, with fresh mushrooms, peppers, and thinly sliced pepperoni.

The Hawaiian pizza was also great, with fresh and flavorful ingredients. One flavor we'd recommend trying is the shawarma pizza - the chicken is perfectly seasoned and the peppers add just the right amount of heat.

Overall, Concession Pizza is a standout and we can't wait to go back.

Best Deep Dish Pizza in Hamilton

Chicago Style Pizza

Chicago Style Pizza

Chicago Style Pizza, located at 534 Upper Sherman, is a must-visit for pizza lovers. I tried the Chicago style stuffed pizza and it was incredible - so much cheese and cooked to perfection.

I could only eat one slice because it was so filling. Just be aware that even a small size can easily feed 3-4 people, depending on how much you can eat.

I will definitely be returning to Chicago Style Pizza again and again.

Little Caesars Pizza

Little Caesars Pizza

Little Caesars on Queenstone Road has the best deep-dish Hula Hawaiian pizza! The crust is so crispy, and the toppings are generous.

My friend will make the trip to this location just for this pizza, even though it's further from their house than other Little Caesars locations. It's definitely worth the drive!

Best Gluten Free Pizza in Hamilton

 La Cantina

La Cantina

La Cantina on Walnut Street South is an amazing spot for pizza! My friend, who is on a gluten-free diet, was blown away by their tasty crust.

She got the Pique pizza, which included figs, prosciutto, balsamic, and arugula toppings - delicious! We will definitely be coming back to La Cantina.

2. Pi Co.

Pi Co.

PICO on Upper Wentworth Street is one of my favorite pizza places - the food is delicious, and they offer the option to create your own pizza for just $16, with a wide variety of toppings to choose from.

They also have vegan and gluten-free options available. The staff was amiable, and the restaurant was clean.

Plus, they don't use third-party delivery services, so you can support the restaurant directly by dining in or ordering for pickup. I've been here several times, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Moodys

Moodys

Moody's on George Street has great Italian comfort food and an impressive beer selection.

The service was exceptional and they offer the option of dairy-free cheese or gluten-free crust on all of their pizzas. It's the perfect spot for a tasty meal and a cold beer.

Best Halal Pizza in Hamilton

 Plaza Pizza & Wings

Plaza Pizza & Wings

Plaza Pizza on Wellington Street is fantastic! The owners, Navid and his brother, really take pride in their establishment and go above and beyond for their customers.

I've tried a variety of items from their menu and have never been disappointed - the pizza is truly awesome. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out!

Avesta Pizza & Grill

Avesta Pizza & Grill

I just had the most amazing chicken shawarma pizza. It was so delicious, and the price was fantastic. I love chicken shawarma, and putting it on a pizza was genius.

I'm disappointed that I don't live closer to the restaurant because I would always eat there. You must try this place if you're in the Hamilton area.
