Loondocks Restaurant Appleby Village

Loondocks Restaurant Appleby Village

Loondocks is a vegan spot that really stands out among the rest. Not only do they offer a separate menu for vegetarians, but they also have a wide range of options for vegans as well. The restaurant itself is great, with indoor seating, patio seating on the ground floor, and even a rooftop patio.

During our visit, we started off with the bell pepper flatbread and halibut cakes as starters, both of which were delicious.

For the main course, we opted for the craft veggie burger and vegan croquettes, and both of these dishes were equally impressive. To finish off the meal, we ordered the creme brulee for dessert and it was absolutely divine.

One of the things that really stood out to us was the presentation and service at Loondocks. Everything was clearly labeled and fresh, and all of the dishes were served at the same time and hot.

The servers seemed to instinctively know when to check on us, so we never had to call them over. My husband loved the craft draft Canadian beers, and I really appreciated the wine selection and the suggested pairings from Brittany.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Loondocks and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious vegan and vegetarian options.

The Judge & Jury

The Judge & Jury

Judge & Jury is a fantastic restaurant with a lot to offer. Their patio is doggo friendly, which is always a plus, and they even bring out a water bowl for your furry friend. The patio itself is lovely and a great place to relax.

I also appreciate the customer service, which is always friendly and smiling. I've ordered food for takeaway before and it always arrives hot and on time. The waitresses are extremely kind and all the staff members are very professional.

One thing that really stands out about Judge & Jury is the value you get for your money. The food is of high quality, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable.  I've been a returning customer at Judge & Jury for a while now, and I can't say enough good things about it.

Oh, and if you're in need of gluten-free options, they have fish and chips that fit the bill. All in all, Judge & Jury is a great restaurant that I highly recommend.

Rust BistroBar

Rust BistroBar

Rust BistroBar is an amazing restaurant located at 1801 Walkers line. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the city, and I've been going there for over three years now.

My husband and I recently had an early dinner on the patio. The appetizers we ordered - Frito Miso, Burrata, Crab Cakes, and Caesar Salad - were all incredible. For our main courses, I ordered the Risotto and one my husband had the gnocchi, which he loved.

One thing we really appreciate about Rust's menu is that it's constantly changing. It keeps things interesting and allows us to try new things each time we visit.

we had a great time at Rust and will definitely be returning.

SB Prime

SB Prime

SP Prime is an amazing steakhouse restaurant located just off Brant Street on Elgin. My husband and I recently had dinner there, and it was absolutely the best meal we have ever had.

The stuffed mushroom caps were juicy and beautifully plated, and the steak was cooked to perfection with a generous side of garlic risotto. The espresso martini was interesting, complete with coffee beans as a garnish.

The service at SP Prime was attentive and genuinely friendly.  They also have a happy hour every day between 4 and 6, with nine-ounce glasses of wine for the price of six ounces and half-price crab cakes that are a meal in themselves.

We highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, but be sure to book early as it is a very small, intimate place.

Rayhoon Persian Eatery

Rayhoon Persian Eatery

Rayhoon is a fantastic restaurant located in a quaint community near the lakeshore . The patio is usually packed, but we were able to get seating inside on our visit.  Dinner with kids can always be a little hectic, but the staff at Rayhoon made the experience smooth and easy.

One thing to note is that the entrance may not be wheelchair accessible, but I believe there may be another entrance available. Despite this, the restaurant is well worth a visit. The bread and BBQ are both awesome, and we would definitely enjoy coming back.

The owners take great pride in their family business and go above and beyond to ensure that their restaurant is well-run and the food is superb. I highly recommend giving Rayhoon a try.
