You don't have to be a trained bunhead to enjoy dancing. Dancing is an aerobic activity, so it's good for your heart.
And it's also a mind-body workout, so while you're cha-cha-ing or chassé-ing across the floor, you're also improving your memory.
But, while some of us may be content having a dance party in our living rooms, some of us may be itching to learn about techniques from the pros.

1. The Underground Dance Centre
This place is fantastic and when you find classes that you connect with you'll have a lot of fun! Great to disconnect from the day to day stress, move and have a good time while burning some calories! I am also amazed by the customer service they provide. It's fantastic when your concerns are listened to. Special thanks to Nicole Folk for reaching out to me to make sure I was happy with the service ! Thank you, I truly appreciate it.
2. Pegasus Studios
Such excellent and caring teachers at Pegasus. There is a great range of programs offered at the studios and for all age groups. Both my children love the classes they are attending. Pegasus is also very highly regarded within the local community with kids attending for years continuously.
3. The Pink Studio - Dance + Fitness
This studio is magical. The staff are amazing and ensure every person in their class feels included and has fun. Choreography every time I have gone has been creative and doable for beginner/intermediate level dance. The studio has such a variety of classes. It is a great place to be and I feel happy and grateful to have exercised every time I go(which I don’t always feel leaving workout classes). I would recommend this place to everyone! 🙂
4. DanceClassToronto - Zumba & Wedding Dance
I have been taking zumba classes with Popi at DanceClass Toronto for over seven years. To me, that says it all - Popi is such a phenomenonal teacher and positive presence that I never want to stop taking her classes. She makes exercise fun and, even as my heart rate goes up and I sweat, I smile or laugh in every single class whether online or in-person. Popi is an inspiring, enthusiastic, and talented teacher. Try a class!
5. Drey Dance Academy
I have been wanting to learn proper Salsa technique with what feels like for years! I was a bit nervous walking into DDA for the first time but was quickly accepted by one of the most welcoming communities I have ever been a part of. Instructors are amazing, attentive and will break things down until you feel like you got the hang of a move. If you have been wanting to learn Cuban Salsa and want a super chill studio, check out Drey Dance Academy!
6. Access Ballroom
We started going to Access Ballroom to learn a routine for our upcoming wedding and had the opportunity to try out some of the group classes. After a few lessons, we were immediately hooked. Not only are we well on our way to learning an awesome wedding routine, but we're excited to keep learning more dances after our wedding is over. I really like that you get full access to the group classes as part of the privates. 100% recommend!
7. Leslieville School Of Dance & Music
My daughter absolutely loves her ballet classes with Monarch Movement! We have been taking classes and going to camps with them for over 3 years. The staff are amazing with the kids and my daughter looks forward to class each week. The year end performances are beautiful and the camps are creative and well thought out. My daughter is already asking to take more classes for next term! I highly recommend Monarch Movement!
8. Metro Movement Dance Studio and Health Clinic
The classes at Metro are fantastic! I've taken classes from Beginner Tap to Advanced Ballet and Theatre Jazz and each class is taught with professionalism and care for the students experience. The welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect as a pop in studio or a place to really sink your teeth into a regular practice. I've been dancing at Metro for 7 years now and owe it all to the amazing training and stunningly supportive community that this studio has built within the dance industry. Take a class! You wont regret it.
